Description pixel24 2023-06-01 14:47:58 UTC
SUMMARY
***
We have a Univentionen server (5.0.3) on which the CUP server also runs. On the CUPS server we have set the settings (in the WebUI) "Share printers connected to this system".

The server also has the appropriate driver so that we don't have to roll out printer drivers for the clients either. The "Kyocera M5526cdw" is an example. The same applies to the other printers. After activating the CUPS option mentioned above, the printers automatically appear in the plasma system settings. Printing is possible directly. After a short time, however, they all disappeared. If you restart the server, the printers are there for a short time.

On the other clients (Linuxmint 21.1) it works without any problems.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure a network printer on the CUPS server
2. Enable automatic network sharing
3. Print once from KDE Neon
4. wait a few minutes

We believe this is fixed in a later version of Plasma5 and the recently released Plasma6. Can you retest this and report back?
