SUMMARY Hey all :-) I've been having some difficulty getting my external display to be detected when using Wayland. It works fine with x11, and I've tried hybrid and dedicated nvidia modes, but it doesn't make a difference. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Login into KDE Wayland. 2. Connect external display via HDMI. OBSERVED RESULT No monitor detected. EXPECTED RESULT Monitor detected. HARDWARE ThinkPad P52 i7-8850H Quadro P3200 Max-Q 32GB RAM SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian testing KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8
Can you clarify what "No monitor detected" means, specifically? *what* doesn't see the monitor? Can you run `kscreen-doctor -o` in a terminal window and paste the text it displays?
