Video showing Zoom In/Zoom Out changes page number

SUMMARY
Using Pinch to Zoom with two fingers on a touch screen computer changes the page number of the document in addition to zooming. This happens for both Zooming in and Zooming out.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a PDF/DJVU/any other document (with multiple pages) in Okular on a touch screen computer
2. Try to zoom in/zoom out using two fingers

OBSERVED RESULT
In addition to Zooming in/out, Okular changes the page number

EXPECTED RESULT
Behavior should be identical to what happens when one presses the combination "ctrl +" or "ctrl -". The document should be zoomed, but the page number should not change.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (all updates applied)
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0
Qt Version: 5.106.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The same bug is present in Okular 21.12.3 in Ubuntu MATE 22.04 running in another touch screen laptop.

I am attaching a short screen record of the behavior when I zoom in/zoom out using touch screen.

Can confirm, I experienced this bug recently while trying to read books in a portrait orientation on a Steam Deck. Indeed, the absolute y offset of a document is literally preserved, so pages fly back and forth underneath your fingers while zooming.
