SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Kdenlive will try to Pre-render the stuff on the timeline but will fail after a few seconds. EXPECTED RESULT Pre-rendering failed. (See screenshot) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Created attachment 159233 [details] Screenshot of my timeline
Created attachment 160270 [details] A shot of the failed pre-render and a shot of the one (disabled text layer) with the successful pre-render So we finally pinpointed the cause. the title clip is causing the pre-render to fail. Further Explanation: If we disabled the title clip, the pre-rendering goes without any problems, but if we enable it and try to pre-render, It fails. So something is wrong with the way Kdenlive handles title clip and pre-rendering.

I can confirm this also for Linux 23.04.3 A simple single title clip in the timeline results in an error: Preview Rendering failed, check your parameters. If the Show details link is available it will show this error: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
Renamed ticket to be less generic. Steps to reproduce were missing so recreating the ticket was confusing. rj205, would you mind trying to reproduce this on latest stable 25.12.1 ?
