SUMMARY

After I right-clicked on my desktop the wallpaper picker appears. There I can choose my new wallpaper. Only very often the wallpaper picker quickly becomes non responding and then takes the whole plasmashell system with it in it's fall. This happens on both the computer where I work on.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right-click on desktop
2. Select wallpaper and
3. Try another wallpaper

OBSERVED RESULT
I could change my wallpaper

EXPECTED RESULT
Plasmashell crashes

I can't reproduce this.  If you could attach a backtrace with debug symbols someone may be able to investigate further.

When I have time I will try to get output of the bug. It would be possible that I came to ask one or two things... To start I need to know the name of the desktop configuring application. Do you happen to know how that is called?

Try using the instructions under "Retrieving a backtrace using coredumpctl" to identify the process that crashed.

I find these https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging instructions way too difficult. You see, I am a really enthusiastic KDE/Plasma user but by no means  technical.
Can someone tell me how to start the desktopconfiguration-module from the konsole? Perhaps the konsole gives me already useful information. I looked at the list of kcm modules but I doubt if it is one of them.
