Description nyanpasu64 2023-05-17 22:23:28 UTC
SUMMARY
When I take a Rectangular Region screenshot, a toolbar appears covering part of the screen I want to select.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press Meta+Shift+PrintScr to take a region screenshot.
2. Try to select a region in the middle of the screen.

OBSERVED RESULT
A toolbar appears and covers the middle of the screen. It must be dragged out of the way before you select a region near the middle.

EXPECTED RESULT
The toolbar appears at the top of the screen (where it's less likely to cover screen content), or disappears altogether until you select a region (at which point it appears below the region).

- Follow-up bug: if you select a region near the bottom of the screen, the toolbar appears off-screen.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Nate Graham 2023-05-19 19:30:27 UTC
It was moved to the top of the screen in 23.04.1. If it's still bothersome there, you can simply drag it out of the way.
