SUMMARY
Changing hotspot configuration in the system settings, like changing name or setting a password, doesn't have any effect until plasmashell is restarted. 


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Change hotspot name or set a password
2.  Start hotspot through the applet

OBSERVED RESULT
Previous hotspot configuration is used.

EXPECTED RESULT
Changed hotspot configuration is used.

We had a similar problem using the latest on ubuntu 22.04,  the hotspot is created as ad-hoc instead access point, no security, a bad name, etc, and it is named after the user instead of the name of the computer.   I can't find the bug that was reported to update it... amd it was just posted.  basically the hotspot is not usable on  kubuntu LTS because of this.

We actually had our settings removed , like the applet creates and destroys the config every time it is clicked.
