SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. ASUS ROG Kernel (6.3.1-201.rog_6f144cb34020.fc38) 2. Native display (2560x1600) 3. Scale = 200% OBSERVED RESULT Full screen games do not display. The screen bugs out (specifically just shows the desktop but doesn't allow for interaction unless a kill command or alt+tab are used); however, when changing the scaling to 100% or 200% the issue is resolved. It also seems that some games that are defaulted to starting in windowed mode are exempt from this issue. EXPECTED RESULT Game launches in full screen, even if scaling/resolution aren't correct. The ability to fix this mismatch in-game is expected. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: N/A macOS: N/A Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 38 (KDE Plasma) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I forgot to mention that I am on Wayland. I can test on X11 if you'd like.
This sounds a lot like bug 466454. If you change the scale up or down just a bit, like 140% or 160%, does it work with that?

It does seem to exactly mirror Juan's comment from 2023-03-29 in bug ticket 466454
great, then this will be fixed in a future version of Xwayland *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 466454 ***
