I don't know why it would cause, this is my first time installing the software 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT The software is unresponsive and I can't do anything like cancel the download and then crash back EXPECTED RESULT have somebody can tell me how to repair this wrong? But I tried version 8.1 and the problem persisted, when I chose to cancel the download, I entered the main interface of the software, but I couldn't do anything, and then it crashed
Very strange because i cannot reproduce here... Typically try to check the option "disable faces engine..." option box in this dialog and press OK. Gilles Caulier

This crash is not reproducible with digiKam compiled under Windows with VCPKG. digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release installer is here : https://files.kde.org/digikam/unstable/ Gilles Caulier
