This dialog download face engine deep learning models files from the Internet. Probably, you have a network problem.

With next 8.1.0, you can by pass this stage:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Please try to use this version instead

Thank you for the advice. But I tried version 8.1 and the problem persisted, when I chose to cancel the download, I entered the main interface of the software, but I couldn't do anything, and then it crashed

Very strange because i cannot reproduce here...

Typically try to check the option "disable faces engine..." option box in this dialog and press OK.

@ktvheiheihei@foxmail.com,

This problem still reproducible with the new digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release Windows
installer available at usual place:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

This new bundle is based on last Qt framework 5.15.11 and KDE framework 5.110.

Thanks in advance

This crash is not reproducible with digiKam compiled under Windows with
VCPKG. digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release installer is here :
