The full name of the document is Zhang_et_al_RADDet: Range-Azimuth-Doppler based Radar Object Detection for Dynamic Road Users.pdf (https://arxiv.org/pdf/2105.00363.pdf) 2. Save the document twice with the same name under different paths 3. Search for this via kickoff e.g. "raddet" 4. Search again for "raddet" OBSERVED RESULT Observe different text elision depending on where the document is stored (see first attachment) Also there is lots of unused space to the right... When you search again the elision is now even shorter (see second attachment) EXPECTED RESULT Consistent text elision using the available space Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Kernel Version: 6.3.1-arch2-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 14.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 20Y7CTO1WW System Version: ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Cannot reproduce in Plasma 6; possibly fixed there, possibly by a Qt change, since to my knowledge none of this code was touched recently.
Still cannot reproduce in Plasma 6. Let's consider it fixed for now. But please feel free to re-open the bug report if you're able to reproduce this in Plasma 6, either the beta or the final release in 3 months.
