View mode is in list, and the folder view widget is placed in the panel. When I expand it and hover an item, the tooltip flashes on and off. I can upload a video if needed. This is on wayland.

Cannot reproduce in Plasma 6. A screen recording would be helpful, yeah.

The fact that it appears on top of the file is odd. Probably fixed by a Qt 6 change, which would explain why I can't reproduce it in Plasma 6.
