tics in coordinate system not numbered

kmplot labels the axes correctly with x and y, but it doesn't label the tics.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Draw any function
2. go to Configure | Diagram
3. make sure "show labels" is checked

OBSERVED RESULT
Only the horizontal and vertical axis label are drawn in the coordinate system, but no numbers at the tics, see screenshot

EXPECTED RESULT
tics should have numbers
