SUMMARY All of a sudden, sometimes digiKam starts to behave as the attachment shows, and the only way to make it stop is closing and reopening it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open digiKam 2. Start clicking on buttons, randomly 3. Sometimes after clicking something the screen starts behaving like this OBSERVED RESULT Screen lagging and flickering, as shown in the attachment EXPECTED RESULT Normally viewing the app SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS OS: Fedora 38 with GNOME 44.1 and wayland KDE Plasma Version: n/a KDE Frameworks Version 5.105.0 Qt Version 5.15.9 (built against 5.15.9)

This is probably due to wayland. There is no problem like this with X11 based distro. Please also try the AppImage bundle that we provide instead the Flatpak, just to see if the problem remain. https://docs.digikam.org/en/getting_started/installation.html#digikam-on-linux Gilles Caulier

Certainly, but digiKam team do not maintains the FlatPak bundle. Report the problem as DOWNDTREAM bug to the FlatPak project. Look this entry for ex : https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.digikam/issues/36 Best Gilles Caulier
