STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. start midnight commander (mc) in yakuake 2. Use Alt+0 for closing mc 3. mc does not close OBSERVED RESULT mc can be closed with F10, or alt+0, but in yakuake, alt+0 (and other key combinations prefixed with alt followed by a number) do not work Shortcuts like alt+c seems to work correctly EXPECTED RESULT Since the shortcut works in Konsole out-of-the-box (and other terminal emulators like gnome-terminal and mate-terminal, terminator, ... I've tried so far) the expected behavior is to be consistent with Konsole SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.0-7-amd64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION > yakuake --version yakuake 22.12.3
Another test (no need to use mc) 1) type: cat, enter, and then alt+0 In Konsole, ^[0 appeasr on the screen, in yakuake nothing 1) type: cat, enter, and then alt+a Both in Konsole and yakuake, ^[a appears on the screen
All alt+number are default shortcuts to switch to the numbered tab. What happens if you rebind them?
Ah, yes, disabling the keybinding fixes the issue. I did not notice the keybindings because I use tmux, so never used the tab of yakuake (in fact I would like to disable/remove it, but did not see an option for it)
