Description ivdokmc 2023-04-30 20:37:11 UTC
SUMMARY
After recent upgrade of spectacle, I've lost ability to crop, drag selection rectangle at annotation screen, and other things.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update to 23.04.0
2. Make a screenshot
3. Get disappointed

OBSERVED RESULT
New UI layout, features have been dropped

EXPECTED RESULT
UI consistent with version of spectacle released during 5.26.0 cycle

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0
Qt Version: 5.15.9
Kernel Version: 6.2.12-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics
Memory: 30.7 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics
Manufacturer: LENOVO
Product Name: 20YM
System Version: Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Versions released during 2023 were consistently low quality - gigantic buttons on 150% HiDPI systems, copy-to-clipboard only working on first screen grab, nerfed capture screen update before this one, and now I can't even crop the screenshot I've made or zoom with scrolling wheel!

Thanks for the bug report! Unfortunately it reports multiple distinct issues, which will make it not actionable. See https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting#Multiple_issues_in_a_single_Bugzilla_ticket for more explanation.

Can I ask you to submit a new bug report for each specific issue? And please refrain from bug reports in the style of "all the new stuff is bad; bring back the old stuff." Try to phrase requests and complaints in a way that's actionable. Thanks again!
