SUMMARY When loading a project where there are multiple similarly-named clips in the project bin (i.e. "Foo 001", "Foo 002", etc), loading a project will substitute these similarly named clips for each other. For example, every clip in the timeline that was originally Foo 004 would be replaced with Foo 005. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a project with multiple clips with the same name other than a sequential numbering (i.e. "Foo 001", "Foo 002") 2. Create a timeline with the "Foo 001" clips 3. Save the project, close it, then load the project OBSERVED RESULT All "Foo 001" clips in the timeline have been replaced with "Foo 002". EXPECTED RESULT All "Foo 001" clips stay as "Foo 001". SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 6.2.12 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Does not happen every time, but does seem to happen more often than not for me.
Thanks for your report. There unfortunately was a regression in 23.04.0 that has now been fixes. Our AppImage downloads integrates the fix, and Kdenlive 23.04.1 will be released in less than 2 weeks (around the 15th of may)
I am also on 23.4.0 on Ubuntu, and I think the name might not be the issue as I am having the same thing happen with a file called "IMG_0031.mov" and replacing it with "100 The Glow.mp3". Yea, a video is being replaced by an audiofile.
