STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. bitdefender asked permission to allow an ip what not to pass krita while i was drawing
2. i clicked ok
3.  after that it just closed. vanished. with no error message. nada

OBSERVED RESULT
I reopen it and there was a saved backup but quite far from what i have already drawn. so offcourse i got anoyed by it

EXPECTED RESULT
ikt should have saved before crashing. or what ever happened

It sounds like it was a Bitdefender related, not Krita related? As in, maybe Bitdefender closed Krita for some reason?...

You can attach Help -> Show Krita log for bug reports, but I doubt it will help.

Regarding the autosaving, you can change the autosave time in Settings -> Configure Krita -> General -> File Handling -> Autosave Interval. I personally recommend having it at 3 min, but you can choose whatever you want. That will be the max time of lost progress on your painting.

We still need the information. Also, Krita should only access the network when the news section is enabled, so this is strange.

ok. thats interesting news at the same time weird. I know i have neighbors
that hack and spy on me so maybe that's was their doing. I've over hear
them commenting on what i draw and when i write and on various things.

Okay, this is beyond the realm where we can debug and fix Krita, so I'm closing the report.
