Description Ivars Bezdechi 2023-04-27 08:42:11 UTC
On the latest version which i downloaded by mistake, I work on a project file, then log out of Kdenlive and come back to it and the project clips load and then get a nag screen "could not recover corrupt file." The backup file is also corrupt. I was almost finished with a project that the user interface became skewed. I then exited the program and now I get this terrible error.

Did you guys even test this new version thoroughly? Or are the hapless users of this version the beta test site where we lose our valuable projects.

After really enjoying using Kdenlive, this version as convinced me that this is program is becoming a hot, smelly mess.

VERRRRRY upset...

Yeah same, I also got this message ( see on https://discuss.kde.org/t/project-file-corrupted/1080 ) once and though I was the only one, seems like not

Thank you for reporting. We tested the new sequence feature before we released it. But there are lots of different setups possible we didn’t know. Some fixes are already pushed for 23.04.1.

Seems to be similar to Bug 468962

Thanks emohr
I don't think it's similar to Bug 468962 as the user didn't seem to have timeline or editing issues. Similar to my reported Bug 468999 though, as you pointed out in that one.

There have been several bug fixes done in the last days. Please try with the daily build if the issue still occurs. https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_mingw64/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/

Please try with latest version 23.04.1. We fixed a lot of project corruption: https://kdenlive.org/en/download/

Since 23.04.0 until now we released several new versions. Most of them are focused on bug fixing and based on the feedback we got so far, the latest version is much more stable. Please download the latest offical version from https://kdenlive.org/download and try again.
