SUMMARY After starting my laptop, when I start Konsole (via panel button, start menu search or krunner), the window takes between five and ten seconds to appear. This is only the case since about two weeks and also only when I start Konsole for the first time after booting. If it already is/was open in the current session, it opens a new window pretty much immediately as it should. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start the computer 2. launch Konsole OBSERVED RESULT the console window appears after several seconds EXPECTED RESULT the console window appears pretty immediately like it did a month ago and still does if another Konsole window already exist[s/ed] SYSTEM INFORMATION Operating System: Crystal Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Kernel Version: 6.2.12-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 30.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: TUXEDO Product Name: TUXEDO Aura 15 Gen1 System Version: Not Applicable
Just now, Konsole launched quickly. I don't know what I changed, but if it keeps being fine, I will probably be happy and close this
Nope, not solved. But it seems kind of random. Sometimes, Konsole launches quickly just like that, sometimes it takes a couple of seconds and sometimes it takes more than ten. I will try to figure out when it does what.
Well, other applications do this too and it is only directly after booting up the system. So not that big of a deal actually and I guess not really worth to keep open.
