Could you provide some more information? E.g. start up kasts from the command line, and then copy-paste the messages that will appear.

So the problem is that you don't have kirigami-addons installed (or it's not recognized). This package is a dependency of Kasts. You mentioned that you installed through discover. I'm assuming that it's installing the distro package. If so, which distribution are you using? Because they seem to be missing a dependency. This particular one is easy to miss since it's only a runtime dependency, i.e. the package will compile just fine without kirigami-addons, but you won't be able to run the app.
Nevermind, I missed that you mentioned it's Neon. I've had a look at the listed dependencies, and it indeed seems to be missing kirigami-addons as runtime dep. I'll open an MR to get that corrected. In the meantime, you should be able to solve it by manually installing it on your system.
