Moving move from one system tray icon to another, the popups show as expected. It only randomly failes when moving mouse on system tray icon not from other system tray icons. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Install plasma 5 (5.27 and above), perhaps 5.26 and 5.25 can also reproduce it. OBSERVED RESULT When moving mouse onto a system tray icons, popups randomly fails to display. Moving move from one system tray icon to another, the popups show as expected. It only randomly failes when moving mouse on system tray icon not from other system tray icons. EXPECTED RESULT popups show normally. Does this happen for Panel widget tooltips too, such as the one seen when hovering over "Application Launcher" and "Digital Clock"? Or does it only happen with tooltips for System Tray icons?
Sorry,but after a system update to tumbleweed 20230422, I cannot reproduce it again. It has just been fixed, magically. Before that, only system tray icons have this issue.

It happens again. (maybe many days ago) A similar issue is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468811. about taskbar grouped tasks' texual list. Also, popups for volume, brightness change, status of touchpad on/off also have similar issues. It seems like, "popup"s have the same problem An important Note is that these bugs are only produced on plasma(X11), not plasma(wayland), with (maybe old intel graphic cards, maybe?, I use a laptop with intel i5-6300U and Intel Corporation Skylake GT2 [HD Graphics 520]). On my desktop with nvidia pascal gpu, also X11, there is no such problems with popups. I tried to disable all desktop effects about popups, but i does fix it.

I reinstall my system afresh without using thinkpad related acpi kernel modules. It's fine now~
