Description kreezxil 2023-04-21 18:18:53 UTC
SUMMARY
***
When creating a batch of videos to render, where subtitles are used on each one, where the subtitle on each one is different, the last subtitle in the last video set for render causes all subtitles to render as that one.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. make more than 2 videos to be used in a batch rendering operation, all having subtitle screens
2. after you set one to render, go to the next and change the subtitle
3. after they're all queued up, and you've changed the subtitle on each one, let them all render,
4. inspect the 2nd thru last-1 videos and notice that the subtitles are all as set by the last video's subtitle.

OBSERVED RESULT
This has happened three times to be now. Scenario where it happens.
After I have streamed a live, and have downloaded it. I cut my life up into 15 minute segments and place them into a template I have, replacing the clips, and adjust the subtitle that I use in the header. Naturally Kdenlive saves them and when I load them individually they are correct. If batch load them for mass render, the behavior I am describing happens. If I don't batch load and let each one fully render before adding the next one, it behaves without issue.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the batch rendering to render each subtitle exactly as I told it to be rendered, and not cheat and use the last subtitle from the last render sent to batch.

SIMILAR ISSUE?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466232 appears to be marked as resolved as I am version 22.12.3. I see the fix is put in place for 23.04.0. Looks like I'll be installing from GIT now. :)

NOTES
Unlike the similar issue, I did not use scripting mode, I manually set my edits and placed them in the batch render queue if that has any bearing.

If 23.04.0 fixes my issue, I'll note this and mark it as resolved.
