SUMMARY *** If I set Chrome as the Default Browser in System Settings.Applications.Default Applications then when I click on a URL Chrome opens two tabs: one tab for the URL destination and a second tab that simply lists the html file. "~/.cashe/kioeec/krun/<nnnnn>_0/unnamed" in plain text format. In comparison, Firefox doesn't do this. Apologies if this is a Chrome problem rather than a Plasma issue. Thanks and regards *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kernel 5.19.0-40-generic (64-bit) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Correction: I think the first tab is just Home page specified in the Chrome settings, not the destination URL.
Prooooobably a Chrome bug. Cannot reproduce with Chromium 112.0.5615.49
Nate, OK, thank you. I've reported it as an issue with Chrome. Thanks and regards Peter
Cool, let us know. And if you have the URL of the Chrome bug report you submitted handy, it would be nice if you could put it in the "URL" field of this bug report. Thanks!
