Created attachment 158103 [details] eInk-display If I disable the window-bar (through openbox) and if I disable the menu-bar and the tool-bar, then I can't see at all which tab is in focus (see attached image; I did this image with a digital camera; the display I use is an eInk-display). It is because the line of the active tab is above the tab-title. In the editor Geany the line is below the tab-title. Is there possibility to put the line under the tab-title, so I can see which tab is in focus? Lubuntu 22.10, Kate 22.08.2
This is a won't fix in Kate as this is something that is done by the underlying Qt style. You should try out a different qt style that suits you better , for e.g via kvantum engine
>You should try out a different qt style that suits you better ... I tried some Qt Styles, but then I changed back to Breeze. I don't know what happened, but now there are thin lines left and right of the tab-title, so I can see better which tab is in focus. Thank you for your help.
I don't know what happened, but the thin lines disappeared. So now, I use as Qt Style "cleanlooks" instead of "Breeze". Now I can see again which tab is in focus, because the tab has no line between tab-title and content of the tab. All other tabs have a line between tab-title and content of the tab.
Is there really no other possibility to change the style of the tab-title? I ask this because with the Qt Style Cleanlooks, it is indeed better, but I still have some difficulties to know which tab is in focus. It would be much better if for example the text of the tab-title would be bold or with white text and black background. The maintainer of Geany gave me today an important help how to realize this in Geany with CSS. So maybe there is also something like this in Kate. Else, what are the different Qt-styles I can install that are light, so not dark? Thank you in advance for an answer.
