SUMMARY When rendering an animation as a gif, it fails with the error message: Could not render animation: Unknown error. I logged the output of ffmpeg using a wrapper script and it reports these errors: Reading option '-start_number' ...Unrecognized option 'start_number'. Error splitting the argument list: Option not found Unrecognized option 'start_number'. Error splitting the argument list: Option not found STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. New custom document (I did 64x64, but I don't think that matters) 2. Add a blank frame in the animation view 3. Try to render animation as a gif (ffmpeg is installed of course) OBSERVED RESULT Error window: Could not render animation: Unknown error. Actually I just tried rendering other output formats than gif and they also failed with the same errors (tried apng, webm, webp).
Emmet, can you take a look? I don't yet have the new dependencies set up here.
Hi, Merlin! Could you please test Krita 5.2.0 Beta2 appimage package from the offical Krita website? https://krita.org/en/item/second-beta-for-krita-5-2-0-released/ I guess the problem is in the usage of flatpak that has some issues with calling external apps. Also make sure that you use ffmpeg that supports both palettegen and paletteuse. E.g. the one that is shipped with Krita (on Windows) doesn't support that.
