SUMMARY
This bug was previously mentioned in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448050#c12

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. use Wayland session
2.  run an app with xembedsni systray icon - I can reproduce with Hexchat irc client and Tixati torrent client
3. repeatedly click with left or right button on the systray icon of the app used in the previous step 

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens most the times the systray icon is clicked

EXPECTED RESULT
clicks on xembedsni systray icons should work consistently

Please note that Plasma 5.26.90 will not be supported for much longer by KDE; supported versions are 5.27, and 5.27 or newer.

Please upgrade to the latest version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one.

This also affects Qubes OS, and is one of the reasons that Qubes OS needs to use the Plasma X11 session.  See <https://github.com/QubesOS/qubes-issues/issues/8410>.
