SUMMARY *** I noticed today (yesterday there was a testing update that I applied) that on my KDE system monitor there is no CPU and Network graphs. On some forum, the solution to that was to copy the default “SystemLoad2.sgrd” file from /usr/share/ksysguard/ to ~/.local/share/ksysguard/. The problem is, when I did that, the tab VANISHED! I can’t get it back. I tried to restore ~/.local/share/ksysguard/ with some files from backup, but it didn't change anything. Clearly the tab setting is saved somewhere else. As always with Plasma, there is no clear info which were to proper config is :( STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have ksysguard opened 2. Rename or delete ~/.local/share/ksysguard/SystemLoad2.sgrd 3. Try to bring the system load tab back. Copying the file from /usr/share/ksysguard/ didn't help. Restoring files from backup in ~/.local/share/ksysguard/ also didn't help. There is no option to restore default tabs... OBSERVED RESULT No way to bring the closed, default tab. The setting of tabs is saved somewhere else, which is counterintuitive. EXPECTED RESULT Default tabs should be possible to bring if there is an option to close them. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.2.8-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 7.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 530 Manufacturer: Alienware Product Name: Alienware 17 R3 System Version: 1.13.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I restored ksysguard to the default state but all my additional tabs I added are gone. All I had to do was to delete ~/.config/ksysguardrc This also fixed the issue with CPU and Network not being shown. Too bad there is no restore ability in GUI. There is option to remove tabs, even default ones, so there should be option to restore them. Closing the case.
