SUMMARY I try to mount an iso to copy files from it. It shows in the file chooser portal, but not in Dolphin. I have enabled "show hidden entries" and there is no entry. My Distro mounts ISOs and LUKS drives in /run/media/$USER/ STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. mount an iso 2. open a file chooser, for example firefox OBSERVED RESULT The isos are not shown but mounted. When viewed in the xdg-filechooser they appear, twice as I mounted it again. There is no way to unmount them graphically, as the filechooser cant do that. EXPECTED RESULT normal SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Plasma: 5.27.3 Frameworks: 5.104.0 Qt: 5.15.8 Kernel: 6.2.8-200.fc37.x86_64 Graphics: Wayland Distro: Fedora Kinoite (OSTree)
Can you share the command line you used to mount your ISO ?
I used the KDE servicemenu for mounting it. I think its native
Well I don't reproduce the issue. I mounted a KDE neon iso to `/media/meven/Ubuntu jammy 20230209-21:35/` automatically and could see and unmount from dolphin place panel. The `mount` command for the iso showed: /dev/loop17p1 on /media/meven/Ubuntu jammy 20230209-21:35 type iso9660 (ro,nosuid,nodev,relatime,nojoliet,check=s,map=n,blocksize=2048,uid=1000,gid=1000,dmode=500,fmode=400,iocharset=utf8,uhelper=udisks2) Operating System: Kubuntu 22.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 Kernel Version: 5.19.0-38-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Could you share the same `mount` command line output for your ISO mount ? And eventually the `solid-hardware details <udi>` where you find the udi for your mount with `solid-hardware list` (could be solid-hardware5 on your system).
Hello, is this thread still active? I have found a similar bug on my system. When mounting an iso from an external usb drive, it doesn't show up in the Devices section. It was successfully mounted and when closing and reopening Dolphin, it shows up again. Pressing F5 does not help.
I still have this, mounting a Linux distro ISO with the builting "mount" context menu entry, doesnt do anything. Though, having the portal enabled in Firefox, this also does not show in the Portal. dolphin-libs-24.02.2-2.fc40.x86_64 dolphin-24.02.2-2.fc40.x86_64 dolphin-plugins-24.02.2-1.fc40.x86_64 Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.8.8-300.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Xe Graphics
wait no, now it works, reproduced for 2 ISOs.
