SUMMARY
starting the app works fine, but after about 30 sec of operation the app shuts down by itself, I uninstalled and the app, tried previous versions - no change, I am lost***

We need at least one log from Microsoft program DebugView. As described here for Windows:

What file format are your images? Are you using a MySQL or SQLite database?

Dear Maik,
thanks for your fast reply, one by one:
I am using SQLite data base
majority of my files are jpg and some png, almost zero RAW
regarding the log file, frankly: I have no clue hoe to get this log file 
created, the documentation is not really understandable for me, I feel 
bad and ashamed . . .
is there any other way to create such a log file?

Look in the log, there is a mix between 7.x and 8.0.0 installed on computer...

is this attachment of any further help?
meanwhile, the app is starting and does not stop,
but it seems to be very slow,
and also, I can see that there is something with "searching for 
Ähnlichkeiten" . . .

do you recommend me, to search for ALL digikam components and to delete 
them, followed by a new installation,

The digiKam-7.10.0 installer contains a mix of version 7 and version 8.
Uninstall digiKam-7.10.0 and install the upcoming digiKam-8.0.0 from here:

I recommend to use 8.0.0, where we works hard to finalize. The plan is to publish this release ASAP. I'm sure that code is mostly ready for production.

Dear Gilles,
the app was working fine,
at the moment, it seems that I have Anbisse with my data base, cannot find
tags any longer 🤨 had no time to look deeper into this.
