STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set up several desktop grids and an external monitor
2. Select desktop grid. (I do this using a screen edge.)
3. Click and hold on any of the virtual desktops on the external monitor

OBSERVED RESULT
The first desktop on the desktop grid on the external monitor is highlighted (with my set up by a blue outline). See photo.

EXPECTED RESULT
Not sure. If anything, I would expect the selected desktop grid to be highlighted.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.27
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Of itself, this behaviour is utterly trivial, and doesn't impair usability in any way. I mention it only in case it helps inform some other, significant issue.

I have tried it with 4 and 5 virtual desktops, with the same behaviour.
Comment 1 Peter 2023-03-21 22:09:20 UTC
The behaviour has now moved from the external monitor to the laptop screen. I can't explain what causes the effect to switch from one to the other,

Can you check to see if this is still an issue in Plasma 6? Thanks a lot!
