Description Uwe Dippel 2023-03-20 22:20:40 UTC
SUMMARY
***
I used to have this (?) app and used it frequently, until it was gone one day from the desktop. Putting it back, I noticed that it runs fullscreen, while my previous one - otherwise AFAICS identical - had popped up in the lower left corner; not covering the full desktop.
I won't guarantee that the previous one was this with the full screen behaviour added as 'improvement'? If so, it is a step back in my opinion.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Drag Application Menu to the desktop. Start it

OBSERVED RESULT
It covers the screen completely, with no visible way out but clicking on any one of the ridiculously large black areas on the screen.

EXPECTED RESULT
A reasonably large , but not full-screen window popping up; mostly filled with menus and application icons.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
1.0

Thank you for the bug report!

However Plasma 5.24.7 is no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE; supported versions are 5.27, and 5.27 or newer. Please upgrade to a supported version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one.

If you need support for Plasma 5.24.7, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing support for older releases that are no longer supported by KDE.

If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to a supported version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
