Description Gerhard Hoogterp 2002-08-21 18:46:50 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.0.3 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from:
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-3
OS/Compiler notes:

I would like a folder-property for hiding threads without new/unread/imporant mails. Especialy in folders containing busy mailinglists this will make reading mail (imho) a much more pleasant experience.

You want vFolders and that's a duplicate ;-)

Well, it's some 18 months later and I've seen and tried the virtual folders for the first time. And no, I'm sure they have their use but it was not what I wanted. For the use as discribed above Virtual folders add a second folder for every mailinglist, their are seperated in their own folders and they don't deal with threads but only with single messages. Besides all that it's a canon to kill a bug.

What I was hoping for were filters as in knode or in thunderbird (although thatone also only deals with messages afaik) or freeagent for that matter. and in the time there was an option to open only those threads with new/unread mails for which this was a natural addition (hide everything else)

I doubt I stand much chance, but I reopen this request anyhow. One can always hope and dream..

This shouldn't be an issue anymore with the new message list. Can you confirm please ?

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
