Create a plasma style with a blank network.svg icon to make Plasma fall back to the icon theme. (see https://develop.kde.org/docs/plasma/theme/theme-details/#use-icons-from-icon-theme) 2. Switch to the plasma style. 3. You may have to restart plasma shell for it to notice and use the icon theme. OBSERVED RESULT The generic preferences-desktop-display icon is used. EXPECTED RESULT A unique preferences-desktop-display-randr icon, as seen when using the Breeze plasma style. Looks like this icon needs to be colorful and can't just be copied from the plasma style. preferences-desktop-display-randr is also being used for System Settings > Hardware > Display and Monitor > Display Configuration (though of course it's currently falling back to preferences-desktop-display with Breeze).
