STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. import clip. Put on timeline.
2. right click clip in timeline
3. adjust speed to 500%

OBSERVED RESULT
Audio gets distorted, but video simply gets cropped

EXPECTED RESULT
video is sped up

To clarify, the clip has an effect applied to it.
