STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set up an Arch Linux install using archinstall
2. Add Firefox as an extra package during setup
3. After install is complete, reboot and check Default Applications for "Web browser"

OBSERVED RESULT

There was not a default application for the web browser.

EXPECTED RESULT

Firefox should have been the default web browser.

Where did you check this? In System Settings or in Firefox itself?

Can you attach ~/.config/mimeapps.list when the system is in this state?

I'm wondering if this is the same underlying issue as Bug 305136.

I may have to create a fresh install of Arch to do this. I'll try this soon.

I created some free space on my drive and tried the Arch installer, but it ran into some issue. If I remember I'll try again another time.
