I suspect Kaj is using an old Beta1 AppImage and not one from files.kde.org/digikam/unstable. Maik

KF5::Sonnet SpellChecker has nothing to do with your system language. Please look in the Help Dialog and About under give us the displayed date and GIT version string. Maik
