What's the build number in About? I believe we pushed an update for MacOS a few days ago.
Comment 2 Jean-Claude 2023-03-06 16:50:16 UTC
Hi James, you are right : the last update kstars-3.6.3-1658-macos-clang-x86_64.dmg solved the problem !
Thanks

James vs Jasem : automatic spelling correction makes us discover things ! Have a nice day.

We updated to a new mount display in 3.7.1, please check it out.
Comment 5 Jean-Claude 2024-06-11 12:45:53 UTC
Many thanks but I can't check version 3.7.1 because I still run an Intel Mac
Comment 6 Jasem Mutlaq 2024-06-11 13:05:17 UTC
Did you try downloading the latest 3.7.1 DMG?

371 can't be opened

Yes, I did it right now and the dmg can't be opened (see attachment)
Comment 8 Jean-Claude 2024-06-11 13:40:09 UTC
As I said previously the dmg 371 can't be opened (see the attachment I sent previously )
You told me previously that KStars > 368 is compiled only for M1 Macs. I still run an Intel Mac.
Comment 9 Jasem Mutlaq 2024-06-11 14:40:35 UTC
This is no longer the case, please try to download 3.7.1 and test it out.

Jasem, I tried 10+ times on this iMac and two others (all Intel machines running Big Sur ) : It is impossible to use KStars > 3.6.8.
Comment 11 Jean-Claude 2024-06-12 09:35:17 UTC
OK, the problem is demonstrated by the dmg size :
kstars-3.6.7.dmg = 290.9 MB
kstars-3.7.1.dmg = 173.2 MB
I couldn't find other dmg's but there might be a problem in the compilation or compression of the dmg's above 3.6.9.
This could be the reason why the dmg's are not usable
