SUMMARY When switching to a different TTY (e.g. TTY3 via `ctrl`+`alt`+`F3`), the primary monitor changes to the default monitor. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Change primary monitor to a different monitor 2. Switch to tty3 or above `ctrl`+`alt`+`F3` to `F6` 3. Switch back to tty2 or tty7 (depends on whether you're using Wayland or Xorg) OBSERVED RESULT The primary monitor switches to the default (usually smaller) monitor. EXPECTED RESULT The primary monitor stays the same. Okay, their serial numbers and EDIDs and not identical, so it's not exactly the same as Bug 466187.
Are you still experiencing this on Plasma 6.2? If so, please attach the contents of ~/.config/kwinoutputconfig.json as well as the output of drm_info before and after the TTY switch.
My hardware and software configuration has changed drastically since the filing of this bug, and I'm no longer using wayland due to a myriad of issues that I'm hoping to fix once I get to reinstalling Arch. I will file new bugs with the issues that pop up on the new installation. I'm not quite sure how to properly mark this as resolved, so I've set this as RESOLVED/LATER until someone else changes it.
