Description Murz 2023-03-05 07:08:08 UTC
SUMMARY
***
I have the "Dim Inactive" effect enabled, which dims inactive windows. But when I try to get a color via the "Color Picker" plasma widget, it grabs the "active" status to the widget window, as the result it gets the wrong color (darker) from other windows, because they are dimmed.
***

A solution can be temporarily disabling the "Dim Inactive" effect when the "Pick color" function is active.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable the "Dim Inactive" effect in System Settings
2. Open the "Color Picker" widget from the applications launcher. It will open a new window with itself.
3. Try to capture a color in another window.

OBSERVED RESULT
A captured color will be wrong, darker than the original.

EXPECTED RESULT
A captured color should be the same.

A workaround for this issue is to configure a keyboard shortcut in the widget settings, and use it. But the proper fix will be welcome.
