Description Prajna Sariputra 2023-03-04 14:34:01 UTC
SUMMARY
When I installed Chatterino (a chat client for Twitch.tv) through Discover, I noticed it decided to use the nightly branch instead of stable, and it does not indicate which branch it selected, nor does it show a way to change which branch should be used. The Sources button just shows a single option for Flathub.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have Flathub set up as a source
2. Search for Chatterino
3. Install Chatterino through Flathub

OBSERVED RESULT
The nightly version gets installed (running `flatpak list` says that the nightly branch is used, and opening the app shows "Chatterino Nightly" in the titlebar).

EXPECTED RESULT
The stable version gets installed, or there is an option somewhere to select which branch is used.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 37 (Kinoite)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
Kernel Version: 6.1.14-200.fc37.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
At the time of writing the nightly branch has a higher version number in its metadata compared to the stable one (2.4.1 vs 2.4.0).

Can confirm. Discover only shows/installs the app from its nightly branch, not the stable one. Probably because the nightly branch has a higher version number.

This looks to have been fixed. Please reopen if you encounter this problem again.

Thank you.
