SUMMARY

Alt+shift does not work under Wayland, it only works when using X11. I use alt+shift to change layout, and using another shortcut is not ideal for me.

I thought that it is a common issue with Wayland, because it happens also on GNOME (Wayland).

I use a laptop (HP Probook 450 G1), and when I use alt+shift in general, they do not work together for unknown reason, but on KDE from keyboard settings I could switch "alt" with "meta", and that fixed the issue on X11, but on Wayland they register different keys for unknown reason.

If it is an issue with the keyboard, why does it only happen under Wayland?

This issue is fixed somehow after updating to Kubuntu 23.04.
