SUMMARY One of the things that limits the Screen corners settings is the limited options available to the user when choosing the behavior of screen corners. For example, I thought it would be cool to be able to change virtual desktops using the L/R corners. I was disappointed that there's only a predetermined list of actions I can select here, when this is available for other settings. It would add a lot of flexibility and perhaps unexpectedly powerful customization with (what I'd imagine is) relatively little effort.
Bug 464638 already tracks this for the Touchscreen Gestures page; let's use this one for the Screen Edges page.
Hi this appears to be still un-addressed in Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.6.14-100.fc38.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i9-8950HK CPU @ 2.90GHz Memory: 31.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 630 There used to be a Kwin script, to allow the creation of custom screen edge actions https://store.kde.org/p/1732688 https://github.com/BelkaDev/KWinEdgeCommands Unfortunately this workaround stopped working with the move to plasma 6. Considering the recent re-work of the Global Shortcut kcm, already allowing to create custom command/program shortcut entries. Wouldn't it make sense to extend this to Screen Edges as well?
Hi everyone, Thank you for reporting it. I'm also interested in this feature. As Thomas suggested, the execution of custom commands on the left or right corners allows the creation of custom flows and integrations. I wonder what is your opinion about this. Does the implementation require any workarounds? What are the drawbacks of implementing it as a global shortcut? I look forward to know your feedback, Thank you in advance, Best regards, Fabio
I second this. Unfortunately it is still not possible in plasma 6.1.4.
