Since design is visual I added an attachment.

Here's some elaboration on the "fewer icons" part.

With the fewer icons I know instantly where things are. I think it's easier for me to orient myself faster because these fewer icons act as landmarks on a map, having few landmarks makes them standout and helps you know where things are in relation to them.

I consider it an accessibility feature.

This was posted on Reddit to see reactions, I think people liked the changes, however many didn't agree with having fewer icons. A user named SaltyBalty98 provided their take ( https://i.imgur.com/Daed1Dq.png ) which included 3 presets, first has all the icons, second has some icons, 3rd has no icons. I think having this as an option is ideal.

Thanks for sharing your design proposal!

A better place to do this is in the Visual Design Group chatroom, because this isn't really a bug or a feature request (it's more like 5 feature requests all mashed together). As such it would make more sense to discuss it in a group setting where existing design choices and constraints that may not be immediately obvious can be explained, and we can go over which elements of this proposal might make sense to integrate.

Thanks for understanding!
