Back trace

After updating powerdevil from 5.26.5 to 5.27.2, it will immediately crash on startup and keeps getting restarted by systemd.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Starting powerdevil 

OBSERVED RESULT
Powerdevil crashes when started via systemd service, keeps getting restarted and crashes again.

EXPECTED RESULT
Powerdevil not crashing immediately on startup

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: ArchLinux 6.1.12
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2
KDE Frameworks Version:  5.103.0
Qt Version:  5.15.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This x11 server is running headless as XRDP without a real display attached.
Downgrading powerdevil to 5.26.5 solves the problem.

Are you sure this is the same issues? The linked bug handles Wayland, this is X11. Also the linked bug suggests that it's fixed with 5.27.2. This one here still keeps happening.

Might also be bug 466620. Do you by any chance have any HDMI monitors connected?

I use this machine as headless hypervisor for VFIO/passthrough. So this system with KDE has no graphics card assigned. And even if it did, the displays are connected either via DP or DVI, no HDMI.
