Description Kevin Hake 2023-02-28 01:00:05 UTC
SUMMARY
Searching for "kdiff3" in major search engines (I tried in Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo) give https://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/ as the first result, and this is very out of date - it says the "Current version" is 0.9.98 (2014-07-04).
(Not sure where else to report this)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Search for kdiff3 in your favorite search engine

OBSERVED RESULT
Top result links to ancient outdated and unmaintained sourceforge page, claiming 0.9.98 (2014-07-04) is the latest version.
Further down is often also https://github.com/KDE/kdiff3, which has links to maintained pages but I think itself is not the official repo.

EXPECTED RESULT
The sourceforge page should either not exist, be updated with the latest info (as of this post, 1.10.70) - possibly link or redirect to one or more of the following, maintained pages:
https://apps.kde.org/kdiff3/
https://invent.kde.org/sdk/kdiff3
https://download.kde.org/stable/kdiff3/

Note that https://sourceforge.net/projects/kdiff3/ does provide the maintained repo and binary download links, so maybe having https://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/ go away and redirect there is a decent step towards preventing lots of downloads of the outdated version.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Let me know if there's another place this should be reported.
