Description m.wege 2023-02-27 22:17:25 UTC
I am using a vpn provider (nordvpn) which provides several servers in different countries which all use the same basic configuration and login. Only the server address differs. I assume this is the same with other vpn providers. I would love to have plasma network manager to merge all of these configurations in one VPN entry in the plasmoid and the connection list so that it is not cluttered. Furthermore, I would like to be able to add identifying information to each server like a country flag, the country name + a number if there is more than one server in the country. Then I would be able to switch between the different servers from that VPN-entry in the plasmoid easily. Finally, it might be useful to select a default server which is used and the other servers of the same country could automatically tried as a fallback if a connection fails.
