SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** Sometimes, the system crashes and everything freezes but only mouse can be moved. What I observed in this freeze is * It doesn't accept any keyboard/mouse input, neither does moving mouse over something show any interaction. * KDE Connect keyboard/mouse input is accepted. I have my phone connected via KDE Connect, and during such freezes, although the mouse/keyboard aren't working, the Remote Input using KDE Connect works. * When system freezes, I can press Ctrl+Alt+F3 to go to tty3, but once I come back to the graphical session (Ctrl+Alt+F1/F2), I can't go back to any other tty by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F<n> on keyboard. However, Pressing this combination using KDE Connect's Remote Input works (using HackerKeyboard on android mobile, I'm able to make remote input of Ctrl+Alt+F3) * `kquitapp5 plasmashell` doesn't work. If I `killall plasmashell`, then starting it again with `DISPLAY=:0 kstart5 plasmashell` doesn't work. * This issue had been present on 22.04 also. I switched to 22.10 hoping it might be resolved, but it wasn't. I'm afraid Plasma 5.25 is unfortunately no longer eligible for support or maintenance. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one. Please update to Plasma 5.27 as soon as your distro offers it to you. If you need support for 5.25, please contact your distro, who bears the responsibility of providing support for older non-LTS releases. If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to 5.27. feel free to re-open this bug report. Thanks for understanding!
