Same case here, but filter was applied only for internal (built-in) screen only. Disabling HDR for external screen makes it turn off, turn on and everything works, but without HDR.
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240216 KDE Plasma Version: 5.93.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.249.0 Qt Version: 6.6.1 Kernel Version: 6.7.4-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 15.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. I can't trigger this on git master, neither with HDR enabled or disabled on the external screen
Created attachment 166008 [details] Settings. My settings.
I do not have git master, sorry. Can you check one more thing? When I press Print Screen button, then external screen changes colors for moment. I send also screenshot with settings page.
My Plasma6 got updated today. Night color working on external screen, thanks. Sorry for reopening issue. @mira.jary@gmail.com can you update plasma and re-check, so somebody could close this issue?
Cool, thanks for checking on this!
Sorry Nate. Currently main monitor probably have Night Light disabled. I will wait until colors changes, but external monitor's colors are altered. On main screen colors are not altered. Just like in mira.jary@gmail.com
Ok. Now, I see main monitor is darker. When disabling night-color both monitors are more bright. I see external screen gets more red colors, cause HDR.
That would explain it - there was a difference between night light with HDR and without before. I did fix that already though. If you still see this with the 6.0 release anyways, just reopen this
