Part of the wayland-session.log showing the problem. This NOT a complete email.

SUMMARY

KDE console output ("wayland-session.log") contains lines like:
org.kde.pim.pop3resource: Got unexpected job data: t
along with complete dumps of email items (I think the ones just read from the pop server).
Note this is Gentoo with OpenRC, so Systemd is not involved.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start KDE under Wayland (in my case with /usr/bin/dbus-launch --exit-with-session startplasma-wayland) and redirect console output to a file in the usual way.
2. Use Kontact to view new messages - using a pop3 server

OBSERVED RESULT
1) The console output contains long copies of the email files. I don't think this appears under X11, which to me is weird, but reading an Arch Linux blog about their tweaks for Systemd, maybe isn't so weird.
Note: I consider this the main part of the problem
2) Every so often, a line starting "org.kde.pim.pop3resource: Got unexpected job data:" appears. This line is particularly interesting: I've noticed for ages that some emails I get are slightly corrupted. Typically they are from the Daily Telegraph, and the symptom is various embedded URLs linking to their feature pages omit a character, often the full stop in ".co.uk" or similar. I reported the problem to the Telegraph, but they said it wasn't at their end. Unfortunately, I only notice the corrupted emails occasionally, so this might not be the same issue, but the coincidence is striking!
That said, the vast majority of emails arrive OK, whereas the "unexpected data" message seems to appear for every email, so it may be some artifact to do with buffer lengths or something.
This is not a particularly severe issue for me, but it may be indicating something important and related, so I've included it.

I suspect this problem also occurs under X11, but I'm currently only seeing it on Wayland as I'm trying to convert to using it all the time.

EXPECTED RESULT
No long dumps of emails in session logs, and no unexpected characters.
More important, if it does turn out to be related, no corrupted emails.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.26.5
(available in About System)
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Attached, part of one email dump. The unexpected data "Received: from 127.0.0.1" is common, but other examples can appear later, and seem to be pretty random. This one isn't from the Telegraph, as theirs tend to be huge!
