SUMMARY
Hi, it's me again with another feature request. Let's see what you think.

Currently, face thumbnails are only generated by demand, as they are displayed when you select a person in the People panel. That means that, even in a computer with fast storage, the retrieval of the faces thumbnails is rather slow, and there's no way around it. This issue is mentioned here: Bug 395241

What about adding an option to the Maintenance tool to generate missing face thumbnails for a person/album? There is already one called "Rebuild Thumbnails", so a similar one could be implemented for faces. That would allow pre-caching  a person's faces so when you see their faces in the menu they would load much faster.
